Inspired by the life cycle of land snails and the sinuous shapes of their bodies, the Ccchlea vase collection expresses the transitory phases of both human and animal life through the brilliance of glass and the earthy tones of stone. The concepts of balance and unity are conveyed through interlocking shapes that connect without permanent unions.

Each vase consists of three parts: two made from stone and one from glass, simply placed together to form the final shape. The handcrafted borosilicate glass is created without molds and is painted on the external surface. This method requires that each stone element is also handcrafted to fit the glass perfectly, making each piece unique.

Coki Barbieri personally sculpts each piece using a unique stone composite developed in our laboratory, called Anthologia—derived from the Latin term for "collection of flowers." This composite is made by combining the finest fragments of Coki's favorite stones. Importantly, the compound contains no cement, glue, or industrially derived aggregates. The entire production process follows the ancient techniques of the Romans and the Middle Ages, including the 100% plant-based treatment applied to the external surface.
