Assumption

In every part of this document in which COKI® or COKI is written, it means the sole proprietorship with the administration of Coki Barbieri, designer, and founder of COKI® label with the following legal data: Via Consolare 148, Rimini RN (47923) ITALY, P.IVA 04373700402; in every part of this document in which "buyer/the buyer" is written, it means the person who buys the goods, even if it’s different from the person who receives the good (and about who the buyer give to COKI the shipping referments). The official language of all documents exchanged with COKI® must be English; other languages are not accepted except Italian. 

 

1.0 PRODUCTS

COKI's entire production is done by hand, using sculpture and glass blowing, making each piece different from the others, even if they are from the same series. Products may have unique characteristics, including handcrafted details that differ slightly from the catalog photos. Colors, textures, inclinations, and stability depend on the product's artistic nature and cannot be considered manufacturing defects. Requesting customizations and handwritten writings on the glass with the customer's name or Coki's signature is possible.

COKI manufacturing involves the best raw materials from the Italian territory, many of which have been disused for decades or not stored in industrial quarries. These materials need research projects by Coki Barbieri and requests for the specific needs of our laboratory. COKI reserves the right to change the price specifications or discontinue any product. Each price in the list is weighted considering all these specificities. 

COKI pieces are made by Coki Barbieri and her artisans using techniques that involve a lot of manual work. It is expected that there will be differences in appearance between pieces of the same model, so this fact can’t be considered a manufacturing defect. In particular, the dealer agrees to the following points: 

• Some COKI vases are composed of 2 or 3 pieces to be assembled, read the description before purchasing; 
• The components of a vase are not interchangeable with those of another of the same collection;
• The handcrafted stone components, given their natural origin, can show differences in color, texture, and presence of fossils between different pieces; 
• The color tone of the glass and stone may be slightly different between different production series;
• The color tone of the rock salt crystals is somewhat different between different production series, as only vegetable and mineral pigments are used;
• The stone's color is permanent over time. Still, within the first 2-4 months, it becomes less intense due to the natural absorption process of the transparent surface treatment, which is naturally based, applied following the techniques of the ancient Roman artisans; 
• Any white efflorescence present on the stone is to be considered completely natural and unpredictable (it depends on the salts contained in the stone), given the natural treatment that is performed on the surface;
• Do not wet the stone components, do not wet the rock crystal surfaces of the stone, and follow the instructions in the packaging;
• The colors and screen resolutions of computers may vary. Minor color deviations are, therefore, not considered a defect within the meaning of the Italian regulation.
• Each item is handmade and unique so the shape might differ slightly from the one pictured.
• Every lamp is certified for exclusive use with 220-240V 50Hz systems: LED E14 2-4W and does not work with 110-120V. Please, inquire about the voltage used in your country of residence before purchasing. We do not sell or ship lamps to countries  with different voltages.
• ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE CE CERTIFIED AND PURCHASED FROM ITALIAN COMPANIES WITH PRODUCT SAFETY CERTIFICATION. COKI IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONNECTION BETWEEN CERTIFIED LAMP HOLDER AND CERTIFIED WIRING ONLY. NONE OF THE MATERIALS USED IN THE LAMPS IS A CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY, NOR IS FLAMMABLE. THE LAMPS ARE SOLD WITH A TYPE C PLUG AS DELIVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER. COKI. DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR SUBSEQUENT RE-WIRING AND TAMPERING OF THE PRODUCT. BY PURCHASING THE PRODUCT, THE PURCHASER TAKES AWARENESS OF THE REPORTED AND ACCEPTS THE WRITTEN CONDITIONS.

 

1.1 ORDERS AND PRODUCTION TIME

The buyer may place online orders 24 hours a day. COKI only handles orders from 9 AM to 5 PM on business days.

Production times vary for each product. The standard production time at the laboratory is 4 to 12 weeks, depending on quantities and time of the year. COKI will confirm the lead time when the buyer places the order. For product customization requests, waiting times may increase by 3-5 days. All products in the catalog are only made-to-order; COKI does not overproduce and store items.

COKI is an artisan laboratory that offers a maximum commitment to sustainability regarding the choice of healthy natural raw materials and the entire production cycle and surface treatments. This work style requires the stone artisans to respect certain natural times for sorting, processing the raw material, and drying the surface treatments. By only using open-air drying and sun heat to produce the stone materials, production times can slow down during the cold season. During specific periods of the year, such as Italian holidays, participation in trade fairs and sector events, and non-programmable emergency events, production times may be extended; you will be notified promptly as soon as you place the order.

 

1.2 PAYMENTS

COKI. Shop accepts PayPal and the main credits card, like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro vis Stripe.

Your card will be debited when your order has been confirmed and processed. All prices are indicated in EUR. The card issuer may add service charges to the payment. Any such service charges will be added to the total price.

Any discounts given in the form of discount codes or the like cannot be combined with other offers or discounts and will not apply on already discounted products or products at special promotion prices. Only one discount code or similar code may be used per order.

 

1.3 COMPULSORY COMPILATION OF THE REQUIRED SHIPPING AND TAX DOCUMENTS

The buyer is entirely responsible for any data reported during the order. If there are errors concerning the logistics destination data (receiver's data) of the goods (for example, WRONG ADDRESS, WRONG HOUSE NUMBER, INCOMPLETE ADDRESS, INCOMPLETE/WRONG NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE LOGISTICS MANAGER, etc.), the goods will, therefore be held in customs, the cost of staying in customs or the warehouse of the courier responsible for delivery will be entirely charged to the buyer. The buyer must always enter a telephone number with maximum availability for the courier. By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer is aware and accepts that the data provided will be transmitted to COKI logistics and the courier transporting the goods.

 

1.4 SHIPPING

COKI strives to offer the best delivery services and choose the most sustainable and safe shipping method according to buyers’ requests. All orders, starting from the date when the product is ready to ship, are dispatched within 1-5 working days. However, in connection with particular year times, such as the holiday season, the delivery time must be expected to be longer. 

The shipping costs for Europe (27 Countries) are weight-based and include customs fees and insurance, following the DDP code (Incoterms® 2024) shipping type. The goods will be delivered to the requested place with no other supplement fee.

Regular service to EU countries is approx. 5-6 business days from the date of dispatch.

The buyer is asked to keep note of point no. 1.2, “COMPULSORY COMPILATION OF THE REQUIRED SHIPPING AND TAX DOCUMENTS,” of this document, which specifies the shipping information due to COKI from the buyer. By purchasing one or more products, the buyer confirms that he/she has read, understood, and accepted point no. 1.1 and the entire document. The buyer must always enter a telephone number with maximum availability for the courier to avoid second-time delivery and goods stored with a fee. If this happens, the buyer will be charged these costs.

 

1.5 TERMS OF DELIVERY

COKI ships to the customer through its courier with TERMS OF DELIVERY (Incoterms®) DDP - Incoterms 2024: Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) – Delivered Duty Paid: The seller is responsible for the entire shipment, including customs clearance and fees, and delivering the goods to the buyer's premises. This Incoterm method places the maximum responsibility on the seller, except for the shipping data given by the buyer. Please take note of point no. 1.2 COMPULSORY COMPILATION OF THE REQUIRED SHIPPING AND TAX DOCUMENTS.

 

1.6 RETURNS

The buyer has the right to regret the purchase within 14 days. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the buyer or another person of the buyer’s choice (except the carrier) receives the physical possession. If the deadline expires on a public holiday or Saturday, it is extended to the following working day. However, the buyer does not have the right to withdraw when purchasing customized goods.

The buyer must follow these instructions to take advantage of the withdrawal right. The buyer is expected to inform COKI by writing to studio@cokibarbieri.it to use the right to cancel his/her purchase within 14 days. COKI will email the buyer the shipping label and the procedure for preparing the parcel for shipping. All the costs for return shipping will be charged to the buyer, and, differently for the purchased shipping, there will not be a discount price, so it must be expected to be higher than the purchase delivery. This amount will be deducted from the refund. If the buyer desires to use the right to return within 14 days, the goods must be in the same way and appearance as the delivery, packed in the same way to avoid breaking, and with all the instructions, guarantees, and cleaning kit. If the goods are not returned as described above, the cost of packaging and broken goods will be deducted from the refund. 

 

1.7 REFUND

COKI will refund the purchase amount within 8-10 working days of the date COKI receives the returned goods. COKI will refund the amount by the buyer's payment in the original transaction unless the buyer has explicitly agreed otherwise.

The buyer is liable for any deterioration of the product's value due to the handling of the product. The buyer is allowed to try the product in the same way the buyer can and must do in a physical store, but the buyer must not use it. If the buyer has used the item in a way that the buyer cannot do in a physical store and COKI cannot resell it or resell it to the total price, the buyer must expect that the impairment will be deducted from the refund amount. If the item no longer has a trade value, COKI will not refund the purchase amount. The buyer must return the item in the original packaging. The buyer should also ensure the item is adequately wrapped. All the packaging preparation and closure must be photographed to prove the well-done packaging work. The buyer carries the risk of the package/items until COKI receives it. 

 

1.8 PRIVACY

By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer is aware and accepts that his data will be transmitted to COKI logistics and the courier transporting the goods. COKI is committed to protecting the buyer's privacy. COKI guarantees that the information entered by the buyer will not be disclosed to any unauthorized third parties.

 

1.9 GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions and any contract for purchasing our product are subject to Italian law.
