The shape of the snails inspires the two small versions of the Cochlea vessels, Metamorfosi n.1 and Metamorfosi n.2, made from borosilicate glass and handcrafted stone. The stone, which reflects our commitment to sustainability, is meticulously crafted from fragments of natural Italian rocks sourced from Tuscany and Veneto. This innovative material, inspired by ancient Roman techniques, is unique as it contains neither glue nor cement and is air-dried naturally under the sun, enhancing its environmental sustainability. The surface of the handcrafted stone piece is treated with an ecological substance developed by COKI. The vase consists of three separate pieces that are not permanently connected. Each stone piece is handmade and features an irregular surface with holes, gouges, or jagged edges, giving it an organic and distinctive appearance. Over time, the stone will lighten slightly due to the absorption of the superficial natural treatment, resulting in a brighter and more luminous appearance.
