Cochlea della Metamorfosi n.1 belongs to the Cochlea Collection and explores transformation through the interaction between linear and curved forms. Inspired by the slow movement and evolutionary cycles of land snails, the vase expresses a moment of transition, where balance emerges from the meeting of different geometries.

The piece is composed of three independent elements that rest together without adhesives or permanent fixings:

– one hand-shaped borosilicate glass vessel, flame-worked and bent into an L-shaped form
– one mineral stone column supporting the glass
– one semi-circular mineral stone element receiving the glass form

The glass is flame-worked and curved entirely by hand, without molds, and the mineral elements are gradually sculpted until a precise structural fit with the glass is achieved.

The stone draws inspiration from Roman mineral craftsmanship traditions and is developed through proprietary mineral-based processes, without cement or synthetic binders. Surface protection is achieved through layered natural oil treatments, manually applied and allowed to cure slowly over time. No synthetic sealants or industrial coatings are used.
